Order sample: We recommend to order a sample (30x40 cm) first to see the result of your design and to test the fabrics for use, washing, etc. Family Fabrics will not be held responsible for variations of colors if you do not order a sample first. When the design is larger than 30x40 cm, we advise you to order a meter as a test swatch.

Three service options:

No File Check: your design file will not be checked for errors and dimensions.
Manual File Check: your design file will be checked for errors. You also indicate the desired dimensions.
Manual File Check + 1 Day Print: as previous option + your design will be printed within 1 working day after order date (max. 60 meters per design).

Seamless repeat: Seamless repeat: Make sure your design file can be seamlessly repeated. Family Fabrics is not responsible for design errors.

Print voids: Print voids: There may be print voids which we consider acceptable as they are small dots on the fabric. The reason is that on raw fabric can remain small pieces of fabric. As a result it can appear especially when using darker colors.

Seamless repeat: Make sure your design file can be seamlessly repeated. Please check the edges of the uploaded image to make sure there are no artifacts in the form of light or dark 1px lines along the edge of the pattern. When printed, these artifacts are likely to be noticeable, highlighting the edge of the pattern.

File format: Accepted files are TIF and JPG.

No File Check: When you choose service option No File Check, the design file will not be checked for errors and dimensions.

Sample: We recommend that you first order a sample (30x40 cm), to see if the file is repeating the way it should and to verify colors. When the design is larger than 30x40 cm, we advise you to order a meter as a test swatch.

Colors: Black and dark colors may look very pale on Natural fibers when a lot of pigment inks are used. This does not apply to the fabrics of Eco fibers.

Repeat: Only 1/1 repeat is accepted, not half drop.

Resolution: 300 dpi.

Dimensions: Save your file in the dimensions you want it to be printed.

3+ Meters:
Orders of 3 meters or more may arrive in two separate pieces.

Total Length:
A Slight variation of up to 3% in fabric length is possible this is considered within the normal range

Caring for Your Family Fabrics Creations

At Family Fabrics, we use eco-friendly, water-based inks to bring your designs to life. To keep your creations looking vibrant for years to come, a little extra care goes a long way!

✨ Wash with Love
Machine wash on a gentle cycle at 30C, 400rpm to preserve those bright cheerful colors. Choose a phosphate-free detergent and avoid bleach or harsh stain removers to protect the fabric and print.

🌿 Handle with Care
The fabric is most delicate when wet- do not rub to prevent damage. Skip the tumble dryer! Air drying is the best way to keep your fabric in top shape.

🔥 Ironing Tips
Use a low heat setting and always iron on the reverse side of the print to prevent fading

🎨 Unique Color Variations
Every fabric base has its own unique texture, meaning printed colors may vary slightly depending on the material—adding to its charm!

Why Does My Fabric Smells a bit like vinegar?

No worries—this is completely normal! We use eco-friendly, water-based dyes, and vinegar component acts as a natural fixer to keep colors vibrant. The scent will disappear after the first wash, leaving you with a safe, chemical-free garment to enjoy! 💚

DTF Transfers

Step-by-Step Application Process:

Prepare the Garment:

Lay the garment on a flat surface.
Press it for 3–5 seconds to remove wrinkles and moisture.

Position the Transfer Film:

Peel and weed the design if required.
Place the transfer film face-up on the garment, with the adhesive side facing down.
Align the design in the desired position.

Apply Heat and Pressure:

Using a Heat Press:

Set the temperature to 300–320°F (150–160°C) depending on the film type.
Apply medium to firm pressure.
Press for 10–15 seconds.

2. Using an Iron (if suitable):

Set to cotton or high heat setting (no steam).
Press down firmly and evenly over each section for 15–20 seconds, without sliding.

Peel the Carrier Sheet:

Let the film cool slightly (warm or cold peel depending on product type).
Slowly peel the carrier sheet off at a consistent angle.
If any part lifts, re-press with protective paper for a few seconds.

Final Press (Optional):

For better durability, re-cover the design with a Teflon or parchment sheet and press for another 5 seconds.

Tips for Best Results:

Always test on a sample material before mass production.
Avoid washing for 24 hours after application.
Wash inside out on cold, tumble dry low, and avoid direct ironing on the design.
